Endoscopy/Pulmonary Tech

Shift:  80 hours, 6a - 4p   
Position Requirements: High School Diploma or GED (must provide proof).  Requires three months or less of work experience. BLS certification

LABORATORY

Lab Courier

Shift:  Day Shift, PRN
   
Position Requirements: High School Diploma or GED (must provide proof) and valid drivers' license. Requires less than one to three years' work experience.

Lab Assistant

Shift:  10:00a - 6:30p
            Rotating Shifts, PRN Hours
Position Requirements: High School Diploma or GED (must provide proof). Phlebotomy certification or equivalent medical experience including clinical laboratory setting experience which includes MLT/MT students. Requires at least three month's work or clinical experience.

Lab Clerk

Shift:  5p-5a, 7on/7off, 80 hours 
            PRN, Rotating
Position Requirements: High School Diploma or GED (must provide proof). Prior related work experience preferred. Requires good spelling and typing skills.

NURSING SERVICE
Care Partner - Med Surg

Shift:  7a- 7p, 72 hours  
            7p- 7a, 72 hours        
Position Requirements: High School Diploma or GED (must provide proof).  One to three year’s work experience preferred.

Care Partner - Critical Care Stepdown

Shift:  7a- 7p,  72 hours 
Position Requirements: High School Diploma or GED (must provide proof).  One to three year’s work experience preferred.

Care Partner - PostPartum

Shift:  7a- 7p,  72 hours 
            7a- 7p,  PRN
Position Requirements: High School Diploma or GED (must provide proof).  One to three year’s work experience preferred.

Unit Secretary- Med Surg

Shift:  7p- 7a,  72 hours 
           
Position Requirements: High School Diploma or GED (must provide proof).  Medical Terminology course required within first year of employment. Requires at least three months but less than one year of work experience.

HOSPITAL OWNED PROVIDER CLINICS

Insurance Clerk

Shift: Days, 80 hours
Position Requirements: Requires the equivalent education of a high school diploma. Plus less than one year specialty training. Requires one to three years of work experience, particularly customer service or customer contact.

Medical Assistant or LPN

Shift:     Days, 80 hours
               Days, PRN hours
Position Requirements: High School Diploma or GED (must provide proof). BLS required and three months but less than one year of work experience.
LPN- Requires current nursing license from the Alabama Board of Nursing. BLS required and three months but less than one year of work experience.

Receptionist

Shift: Days, 80 hours
           Days, PRN hours
Position Requirements: Requires the equivalent education of a high school diploma. Previous medical experience preferred. Requires three months or less of work experience. Requires excellent spelling, grammar and typing skills.

PHARMACY

Pharmacy Tech

Shift:   8a- 6p or 3p- 1p, 70 hours pay period
             9p- 7a, 70 hours pay period
             PRN, Rotating        
Position Requirements: High School Diploma or GED (must provide proof). Must be registered with the Alabama Board of Pharmacy and renew registration annually. Requires three months or less of work experience. Technician II requires a minimum of six months experience and satisfactory performance as a Technician I.

RADIOLOGY

Radiology Student 2nd Year

Shift:  PRN, Rotating
Position Requirements: Requires the equivalent education of a high school diploma and must be classified as a second-year student in an accredited radiology program. Requires three months or less of work experience.

Radiology Tech Assistant

Shift:  PRN, Rotating
Position Requirements: Requires the equivalent education of a high school diploma plus less than one year specialty training. Requires three months or less of work experience. Prior experience as a Radiology transporter, Radiology student, patient care tech or nurse assistant preferred. Working knowledge of Radiology/ imaging areas, radiation safety and knowledge of medical terminology strongly preferred.           

RESPIRATORY

Respiratory Student 2nd Year

Shift:  7a- 7p, PRN
Position Requirements: Requires the equivalent education of a high school diploma plus schooling at the college level which leads to registry. Must be certified in Basic Life Support for health care workers by the American Heart Association. Must be enrolled in Registry Respiratory Therapy Program.

Shift:  PRN, Rotating Shifts

SLEEP LAB

PSG Tech

Shift:  Nights, 80 hours

 Position Requirements: High School Diploma or GED (must provide proof).  Graduate from a Polysomnography Program. Should be registered or eligible to take registry. Requires two to three years of patient care experience.

SURGERY
Scrub Tech

Shift: Days, 80 hours +call 
           3p- 7a, Mon-Thurs, 72 hours
Position Requirements: Requires the equivalent education of a high school diploma plus less than one year specialty training.  Must have CPR certification (can be obtained through Education Dept.

Surgical Support Tech

Shift: 7a- 3:30p, 80 hours +call 
           6a- 2:30p, 80 hours         
Position Requirements: Requires the equivalent education of a high school diploma. Requires three months or less of work experience. CPR certification (can be obtained through Education Dept).
